The strength of States United to Prevent Gun Violence comes from a network of state affiliates. Every day, these organizations are on the frontlines of the gun violence prevention movement. They are educating their communities, advocating for lifesaving policies, and creating innovative programs that meet the unique needs of the people they serve.

That’s why we’re especially excited to have launched our new Affiliate Award Program. This initiative is more than just funding, it’s an investment in the leaders, ideas, and local solutions that are driving meaningful change across the country. By providing direct support for state-based programming, these awards will help affiliates expand their reach, launch new initiatives, strengthen existing programs, and respond quickly to emerging needs in their communities.

Every state faces different challenges but together, our affiliates are building safer communities through collaboration, innovation, and unwavering commitment. We believe empowering state-based organizations is one of the most effective ways to create lasting change, and we’re already seeing the excitement these awards have generated.

“Our programmatic and communication efforts have grown immensely this year, and these funds will be critical to supporting the quality and effectiveness of these efforts. Thank you!” – Laney Sheffel, Executive Director, Colorado Ceasefire

Congratulations to our inaugural Affiliate Award recipients as they continue creating safer communities! We look forward to growing this program to support more affiliates in the years ahead. Your support will help – donate here!
